Christmas Showcase 2010 at Springwell Village Community Venue
We raised £305 on the night for the Children’s Charity ‘Smile for Life’. The charity were very grateful and everyone should be very proud for contributing to such an amazing charity. Read more about this at http://www.smileforlife.org.uk/news/.

Happy New Year
Romero School of Dance would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
After the Christmas and New Year holidays the Adult beginners dance classes will commence on Tuesday the 4th of January at the Arts Centre Washington and Children’s classes at Springwell Village Community Venue will commence on Monday the 10th of January 2011. Please look under the ‘Classes’ section for class times.

NCDTA Examination Results
The pupils at Romero School of Dance participated in their first NCDTA dance examinations in Classical Sequence, Ballroom and Latin on Sunday the 25th of April 2010.
The pupils were examined by the president of the NCDTA, Michael Conway, who was very impressed by the high standard of dancing.
The pupils danced extremely well and were awarded the following results:
7 pupils passed with Highly Commended obtaining 93/100
22 pupils passed with Honours obtaining 96 and 97/100
8 pupils passed with Honours with Distinction obtaining 98/100
Everyone worked exceptionally hard and Lindsay is proud of all pupils achievements.

Annual Carnival at Springwell Village Community Venue
This annual event will be taking place at Springwell Village Community Venue on Saturday the 19th of June 2010. A number of the children and adults from the school will be showcasing a selection of their routines. It will be a fun day for all of the family and the pupils are looking forward to participating.
